NetworkManager and wifi -- what voodoo is it doing?

Good question. The only difference in lsmod right after booting (interface
still down) is that hostap_pci is listed with "2" in the used-by column if
NetworkManager is started.

Yeah, all of them. It's orinoco_pci.
