Package Manager and Yum Don't Work

The presence of /var/run/yum.pid indicates either that another copy of
yum is running, or that a copy shut down violently, and left its lock
file in place.

If you are certain that there is no copy of yum running ("ps aux |
grep yum"), delete the lock file and continue.
