FC4 Samba only shares some files, not others...

Damn good guess...

edited /etc/selinux/config changed SELINUX=disabled and then rebooted -
problem's fixed... didn't want to get into the rules and altering them,
we simply don't need SELinux on this system.

Educated guess:  SELinux.

On Gnome, the "Security Level and Firewall" GUI lets you set/unset
option regarding SMB, have a look for one related to homespace.
