shrinking LVM-volume and add new volumes

Yes, that's a problem. You can't shrink a mounted ext3 
filesystem, so you must boot with a rescue disc, 
umount -l /mnt/sysimage, then resize the filesystem with 
resize2fs and shrink the logical volume with lvm.
