I am assuming that this happened just after step 4. rather than just
after step 3. as that would make more sense.

There is the implicit step in their of using your newly "up"ed eth0 to
download the proper grub-<latest_version_for_your_fedora>.rpm
- in order to reinstall the grub programs that you removed in the rpm -e step
- to enable to you to rewrite the grub bootloader to your disk.
The package used in FC6 is located here:
ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/6/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/grub-0.97-13.i386.rpm
You should be able to use wget followed by that URL to download it.

I guess the important thing to know is how your grub got knackered and
what state it is in now.
