Fedora core 6 and widescreen monitors?

I recently bought a 1680x1050 widescreen Iiyama monitor and it works
beautifully in FC6. I've since installed Fedora 7 Test 4 and that too
works perfectly. Actually, I think the fonts appear a bit clearer in F7
but not sure if that's a monitor config or font issue.
