firefox and youtube droppings

whoops, my bad ... this is on my only gateway laptop that *doesn't*
have an ATI card:

$ lspci
...
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS,
943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
...

and the "flickering" is entirely reproducible, and starts up
immediately after entering X.  so no one else is seeing this
behaviour?
