CD/DVD drive not recognized.

Looking on my Fedora 7 install, and opening VLC. I see that I have the device 
name set as /dev/scd0.

My optical drive is one of those cdrom/cdwriter/dvdrom drives, and often you 
find that apps are pointing to the wrong device in /dev, particularly if you 
have more than one optical drive, as I have on the other machine.
