Bonjour,
I have a problme with LVM:
I created a physical volume on a disk (say /dev/sda) using the command line:
pvcreate /dev/sda
Then a volume group on the same disk:
vgcreate suppl /dev/sda
Then a logical volume:
lvcreate -n sauvegardes -L 90g suppl
Then a file system:
mkfs -t ext3 /dev/suppl/sauvegardes
created a /sauvegardes directory
added the line
/dev/mapper/suppl-sauvegarges /sauvegardes ext3 defaults 1 2
to the fstab
and rebooted.
So far so good!
df gives:
/dev/mapper/suppl-sauvegarges
103212320 2326032 95643408 3% /sauvegardes
And I can use my "sauvegardes" directory, everything is OK.
But where are my physical volume, volume group, logical volume?
pvdisplay, vgdisplay, lvdisplay do not mention it at all and the
graphical lvm manager shows my disck sda as "non initialisé", sda not
mounted, without any mount point and without any file system....
Am I dreaming?
What's wrong?
Thank for any light.
