FEDORA core 7 installation on laptop

When I tried the live CD, it gives the message "Cannot find root file
system!"
create symlink /dev/root and then exit this shell to continue the boot
sequence.....


Why this is such a big issue, Has anyone got this issue and install FC7
successfully on a notebook.
