true. as a 'trick' with ff closed, run 'mv 'localstore.rdf localstore.rdf.bak'.
then reopen ff. try change to see what happens. it may correct, may not.

in your search, also search 'localstore.rdf' just to see that you are not alone
in problems with it. most are under msbsos, but i believe you will find a few
related to linux.
