Thanks a lot, I also found a shorcut.
Since Fedora 7, there is a file ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs control some
environment. I changed a line in this file from
XDG_DESKTOP_DIR="$HOME/" => XDG_DESKTOP_DIR="$HOME/Desktop"

things are back to normal look
