ThinkPad T61 won't suspend--SOLVED

At long last, there is a workaround for this issue where some T61s pop
out of suspend mode spontaneously.  And it turns out to not even be
nVidia related.  (If you have the nVidia video card, though, you'll want
the latest proprietary driver.  The nv driver still doesn't resume
properly.)
