kudzu broken in Fedora 8 after updates?

seems to me that you know what you are doing but you have to be careful
because it's possible that you have a HWADDR=something
in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 in your image that you use
to 'clone' and that of course would break things just like this.
