f9 fedora-ds -- setup-ds.pl hangs with "Server failed to start !!! Please check errors log for problems"

the log file in /tmp doesn't seem to be any help either.

I've already uninstalled, and did
    ]# rm -fr /etc/dirsrv /var/lock/dirsrv /var/run/dirsrv /var/log/dirmngr

reinstalled -- same issue.

I'm really lost on this.  I was hoping to avoid OpenLDAP, but I'm running out of time.

I'm assuming I properly chown'd to nobody.nobody  -- lemme know if this is wrong.  It does seem to have worked.  I stress the word "seem" though.
