With kernel mode setting, my (text mode, rhgb turned off) boot screen on my HD TV monitor is about 8000 lines by 240000 columns (maybe not quite that many :-) with the font it picks by default to use with 1920x1280 resolution. Is there any way to convince it to pick a much much larger font size during boot?
