Shouldn't really be so.  But, you will be shovelling many megabytes
around when scrolling a page.

e.g. 1280 x 800 pixels x 32 bits (colour) x number of screens/pages

The system needs to be reasonably fast to manage it.  Even more so when
the content is animated.
