Doesn't that rather depend on whether it's a KDE bug or a NVidia bug?  Perhaps 
Michael could see whether the same thing occurs with the free driver in use.  
If it does, then he has isolated it as a KDE bug.  If it doesn't, then he can 
only take it up with NVidia.
