Flashplayer crashes on initialization (i386)

Strange... I've tried using the 'nv' and 'nouveau' drivers instead of
nvidias but get the same results - instant crash every time (also in
-safe-mode with a new profile). I'm a bit stumped on how to further
debug this. Any ideas anyone?
