Re: FC10 and freeNX (solved)

Hello Craig,

you can solve your keyboard problem by editing /etc/X11/xorg.conf on the client system i. e. Ubuntu 8.10 or Ubuntu 9.04.

Add the following block to /etc/X11/xorg.conf:

==== cut (start) ====
Section "ServerFlags"
    Option "AutoAddDevices" "false"
EndSection
==== cut (end) ====

If your're using an other keyboard layout than US, you may have to adjust the keyboard "InputDevice" in xorg.conf, too. Add (or uncomment) a block like this:

==== cut (start) ====
# uncomment the following lines to use a
# german pc keyboard layout
Section "InputDevice"
  Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
  Driver  "kbd"
  Option  "XkbRules"  "xorg"
  Option  "XkbModel"  "pc105"
  Option  "XkbLayout"  "de"
  Option  "XkbOptions" "lv3:ralt_switch"
EndSection
==== cut (end) ====

After editing xorg.conf you have to restart your X-Server. On Ubuntu simply logout out and in.

That's it.
bye
 Nephilim
