My first guess would be that you are running out of ram. Maybe another 256M
would do it, or maybe David or Jeremy know of some aspect of the install that
might be creating files outside of tmpdir (i.e. eating up your ram).
If you've got a big liveusb, maybe once my persistence patch is ready for
primetime, that would help (moving the RW space from ram to usb/disk).
