No, if the packages are different (and are going to be built in
different build roots, etc), then you want to have them distinguishable
by something that's in the standard packages headers.  Which essentially
gives you EVR to differentiate on.  And realistically, just release
(since changing the version or the epoch for a different distribution is
just crack ;)
