Interesting how close are spec files are, really.  You seem to be further along
so I'll drop mine for the most part.

Trying to build yours I get:
+ mv /var/tmp/mpich2-1.0.3-3-root-mockbuild/usr/logfiles
/var/tmp/mpich2-1.0.3-3-root-mockbuild/usr/share/mpich2
mv: cannot stat `/var/tmp/mpich2-1.0.3-3-root-mockbuild/usr/logfiles': No such
file or directory

when compiling in mock on FC5/x86_64.  

Looks like you don't have BRs for the needed java stuff.  Looks like java-devel
and libgcj-devel

Also:

< checking for etags... etags
< checking for etags argument to specify language... --language=c
---
> checking for etags... no

so maybe a BR for emacs-common?  Not sure what effect this has yet.
