A couple of other issues:

1) There are no sounds packaged.  The sound files, while not
   essential, are extremely important for full functionality.
   Unfortunately, the licensing of the sound file isn't clear.  They
   are package separately from the source code but do not have any
   licensing information attached.  Here are links to a thread that I

Once the licensing is sorted out, I have packages ready for review.
There are some Music on Hold sound archives as well, but the license
on those would seem to prohibit inclusion in Fedora.

2) The Asterisk makefiles are capable of downloading the sound
   packages from Digium's FTP server.  I haven't gotten that
   completely blocked so if you try to rebuild the package it will
   download some of the sound archives.
