Okay, after further digging I've found out that this piece of #$$^%$ (makefile
wise) compiles some files several times into different libs / binaries, with
different defines used, so overriding CFLAGS is not possible easily.
Since qmake already puts RPM_OPT_FLAGS in there (albeit RPM_OPT_FLAGS as they
were when qt was build), I say lets forget about this hypothetical problem of
RPM_OPT_FLAGS changing and just use:
make %{?_smp_mflags} BOUML_LIB=%{_libdir}/%{name}
