I must say that I am not really sure what causes these issues, I don't see it
with current ubuntu (7.10), and a gentoo-dev told me ristretto works fine there.

(gtk 2.12.1 and glib 2.14.3)

Does anyone know if the way the scrolledwindow behaves has changed since gtk 2.10?
