Note, I've submitted a patch for SDL which fixes the crash on intel video, see
bug 310841. I would be much obliged if you could build a local version of SDL
with the patch, confirm that it fixes this and add a favorable comment to bug
310841. The SDL maintainer is usually not all that willing to take patches :(
