Same test failures here (also x86_64), I have sent upstream.

Regarding examples/.deps, Simply rm during %install causes check to fail.

I don't know how to fix this.  examples get installed by:

%doc examples

Not sure how to rm .deps without screwing up %check.  Any ideas?
