I would agree that upstream is always nice. For reference, these are the patches.

According to the devs, the six digit bug numbers are upstreamed mozilla, the
others are Songbird specific. It sounds like they're pushing for using the
system wide installation due to issues in Ubuntu and OpenSolaris, so this might
actually happen, but I'm not sure on what kind of time frame. I'll run it by
gecko-maint though...
