I suggest adding INSTALL='install -p' to the make install line to
keep timestamps:
make install DESTDIR=$RPM_BUILD_ROOT INSTALL='install -p'

And also I suggest using globs for man pages compression extensions
%{_mandir}/man1/lxsession*.1*

Thats all I see on the packaging side. I'll retest the functionality.
