I see that compiler flags are not honoured. Use following
%{__make}  CFLAGS="$RPM_OPT_FLAGS" %{?_smp_flags}

also,change 
%defattr(-,root,root)
to
%defattr(-,root,root,-)

COPYING is missing from %doc
