Description of problem:
perl5db.pl contains a syntax error on line 5814:

my $rv = $ENV{PERLDB_NOTTY} || ( $ENV{HOME} ? $ENV{HOME} : /tmp ) ."/perldbtty$$";

should read

my $rv = $ENV{PERLDB_NOTTY} || ( $ENV{HOME} ? $ENV{HOME} : "/tmp" ) ."/perldbtty$$";

perl -d -e 42
