Hi all,

I've Cc'ed relonotes because this bug might need mentioning in the
release notes.

I can understand that (I've got a track record in that regard). Take my
mail as a heads up not to bother with the other package then ;-).

Verification of the fix is easy: With an installed xsane-gimp package,
update the gimp and the symlink %{_libdir}/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/xsane
should still point to %{_bindir}/xsane-gimp, like this:

nils at wombat:/usr/lib64/gimp/2.0/plug-ins> ls -l xsane
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 Apr 25 08:14 xsane -> /usr/bin/xsane-gimp

One caveat though: The bug is with the preun script, so when updating
from an affected version, you'll still see the symlink removed (because
the executed preun script contains the bug -- don't we all love rpm
scripts?) and only on the second update (from unaffected version to the
next) it will work.

This is why I think we'd need some mention in the release notes, even on
such short notice (sorry), i.e. I think I'd need to update
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Beats/PackageNotes -- is that
correct? Whom would I need to ping to get this in in time? The content
would be 1) small description of the problem, i.e. why the corrected
package alone doesn't help and the symptoms and 2) the workaround
("/usr/sbin/gimp-plugin-mgr --install '*'").
