The PCI bus is Memory Mapped at just below the 4GB mark. That's why you
can use the last half GB.

I believe we tend to shut off acpi because it usually hasn't worked with
our dual opteron systems.

We had this working but I am not sure what driver we used.

Yes this doesn't work because no drivers existed. 2.6.0-test11 has a
patch that will get this working.

I haven't had any luck with Arjan's Kernels on our x86_64 systems. We
just compiled our own.
