Only the rest of the -intel- [compatible] world.  One of the nice things
about linux is it runs on non-x86 systems too.

At any rate, it's just like saying "Do we really have to support memory >
512mb when most people have 256mb?"  Time catches up with you fast.
What's more, most linux companies, including redhat, are targeting
business customers, more likely to have higher end equipment.  After all,
IBM didn't port JFS to linux for me to run it on my desktop, they ported
it because it had some recognition and trust in the enterprise market, and
it will help them sell consulting services.
