Constant crashes

I've been experiencing constant crashes since I installed severn. This
is both with and without running Xfree86. This is not because of a
memory leak, because at one time I watched the memory usage and cpu
usage when it happend. I don't know what it is because it's totally
random. And I installed the kernel from 9 which had not given me any
problem before and it still was happening. If there is any way to find
out why this is happening and currect it any advice would be
appreciated.
