Error during umount on shutdown

I've been getting this:

Unmounting pipe file systems:
Unmounting file systems:
umount2: Device or resource busy
umount: /var: device is busy
umount2: Device or resource busy
umount: /var: device is busy
Please stand by while rebooting the system...

on reboot/shutdown since I added:

/home/ftp/pub /var/ftp/pub none bind 0 0

to /etc/fstab

I've not looked too hard, but I'd just assumed that the bind mount
isn't getting undone during the halt script.

Sound reasonable? If so I'll bugzilla it against initscripts.
