517 kernel panic

Hi,

I know it's been discussed on here, but for the life of me, I can't
remember what the resolution of it was!

Is there a way to stop the kernel panic on the current version in
rawhide (2.6.7-1.517)? It always panics when trying to mount ext3
drives.
