ATI Drivers fail with latest fglrx-4.3.0-3.7.6

It won't work with ATI kernels, but if you download a vanilla kernel and 
follow these directions:

you should be able to get the driver to work, but have fun configuring 
everything in the kernel.  With the (very) new ATI driver I didn't have 
to do anything to edit the driver - just make kernel changes, the older 
one I had to go through and edit the firegl_public.c file all over the 
place.
