Mysql_connect in php 4.3.4

I get a Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in FC2T3 with php
4.3.4. 

The phpinfo() say this: --with-mysql=shared,/usr.

I saw this was a problem with php 4.3.2-7

Is it back?
