Well you'll have to install the madwifi driver (I believe this is
discussed earlier)

- get source from cvs
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=82936

- patch it for kernel-2.6.8 changes

- build & install the driver
make
make install

- Now load the driver and see if it works
modprobe ath_pci

I had briefly tested this with rawhide (during the FC2T3 freeze) with
kernel-541 - and it worked fine with my Atheros device.
