Can't install FC4 from SCSI CDROM

I've got an old 650MHz Single Board Computer (SBC) with an Adaptec 1542
CDROM. I can boot from the FC4 Disk one but the installation program
can't see the CDROM. The Adaptec driver seems to be loading. Any ideas?
