100% CPU and ~ 1.5Mbps disk?

    There's been mention in a few threads, includin it's a known 
situation.  Look at the cpu line in top. While no processes are goin 
wild, includin prefdm (~ 1% cpu), cpu user is ~ 65% an sys is ~ 35% = 
100% cpu or thereabouts. In lvl3 top shows us 0%, sys 0%, but id is 
100%

   'killall prefdm' in lvl5 fixes it for me.
