X-Chat is an easy to use graphical IRC chat client for the X Window System.
It allows you to join multiple IRC channels (chat rooms) at the same time,
talk publicly, private one-on-one conversations etc. Even file transfers
are possible.

This includes the plugins to run the Perl and Python scripts.

Update Information:

This updates X-Chat to the latest upstream version (2.8.2). The full list of changes can be found at: http://www.xchat.org/changelog.txt

In addition, this update adds a new xchat-tcl subpackage containing the Tcl scripting interface plugin, which was previously not available in Fedora.

Please note that the new tray notification icon is disabled by default (see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=241923 for the rationale), it can be enabled in the preferences under Chatting/Alerts/Enable system tray icon if desired.
