I haven't changed anything, I'm trying to be a dumb user;-) If I futz
around to make it work, it doesn't help others much. If we can figure
what's wrong, then it might get fixed properly.

Er, why would it be in the development repo? I'm not building software.

[root at potoroo ~]# egrep -i '^(name|enabled)' /etc/yum.repos.d/*
/etc/yum.repos.d/Fedora-install-media.repo:name=Fedora 7.92

That goes to show why I haven't seen any updates these past few days.

This is clearer:
[root at potoroo ~]# egrep -i '^(name|enabled=1)' /etc/yum.repos.d/* | grep
-B1 enabled
/etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-updates.repo:name=Fedora $releasever - $basearch

/etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-updates.repo:enabled=1
--
/etc/yum.repos.d/fedora.repo:name=Fedora $releasever - $basearch
/etc/yum.repos.d/fedora.repo:enabled=1
[root at potoroo ~]#
