How to reach other samba servers?

Bumping again.

Seems I'm only having trouble with one ancient samba server that this machine is destined to replace soon.

The rest of the queries to newer machines work as expected from dolphin:

smb://myotherhost.mydomain.tld/var/lib/mysql 

works fine.  I haven't tried writing or copying yet though.  

I'll import an exisiting smb.conf file to the old fileserver and see if it works for it.
