There is a saying that Unix doesn't prevent you from doing stupid things
because that would also prevent you from doing smart things.  On the
other hand Gnu is Not Unix.  

I wonder if it's worth adding my voice to the bug.  (Though I don't use
package kit, it's the principle of thing.  I guess I see the developers'
point of view as more and more newcomers enter the Linux world, 
but...)

I suppose that they're also the ones that bear the blame when newcomers
break a system, but I guess it's a matter of being treated as if I'm a
child.  I get that enough from my wife... (looks over his shoulder as he
types and quickly hits send.)
