cannot compile kernel

Still no answer on my previous question: 
Re: ..MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC

Would attempt to compile with some other settings, but that
seems like a dead-end too:


Kernel: 2.6.23.9-85.fc8-x86_64
Kernel: 2.6.23.9-85.fc8-debug-x86_64

2.0, glib-2.0 and libglade-2.0.

Comment: - couldn't find the needed libraries anywhere in available packages.
