How is this relevant?

I've got no xorg.conf, if that's what you mean.

Not that I'm aware of.  But I *was* using an xorg.conf with those boxes. 
  I can try to resurrect the conf file and toss it in here it you think 
that might be useful.

I have no idea what this means :)  What else would it be if not XGL/AIGLX?
