KDE 4.2 Disappearance

I am testing KDE 4.2 as follows:

Fedora 10 (Latest Updates Applied)
kdebase-4.2.0-5.fc10.i386
Thinkpad T60

No matter what I am doing eventually KDE just
goes to a Blank Screen and effectively logs me off.
As I am very interested in evaluating KDE this
idiosyncrasy is forcing me to continue to use
GNOME which, of course, seems to work very
well. I plan on moving to Fedora 11 when the first
beta is released but as KDE 4.2 is available to
Fedora 10 I am beginning to test it now.
